Spring is officially here! (At least for those of us who are in the Northern Hemisphere.)
Spring is the season of new beginnings. Fresh buds bloom, animals awaken and the earth seems to come to life again. Farmers and gardeners plant their seeds and temperatures slowly rise. And my birthday falls on the 17th of June, right before the official transition to summer.
In the spirit of the new season I would like to share one of my favorite haikus by Masaoka Shiki (1867-1902).
